Cockeyed

I tend to take weird pictures. You only see a fraction of them. That’s because most of my weird pictures don’t make sense to anyone but me. They are often blurred or out of focus. I take them because I see things that are not where or what I’m expected to be looking at and think it’s interesting. It’s really hard to make a camera focus on the distant hills or ocean when there are trees whooshing past. I think […]

Halfway

I have now officially hit the half way point in my book. I was writing much more efficiently at the beginning of the month when my part time job went full time and my obligations in all kinds of places went nuts. Now I’ve finally hit a lull in the pressure, and wouldn’t you know the writing slowed way down. I think it’s because I have time to actually think about what I’m putting down “on paper”. When it comes […]

Pardon Me

Please pardon me while I continue to freak out about the condition of my web site. I was planning on talking about Whistler today, since it’s more or less in chronological order. Instead, you get a random picture of a glacier. I’ll do something about Whistler on Thursday. Last week was quite the trying week for me. It started when the people who have been renting my old house for the last five years called to let me know they […]

13 Little Adjustments to Plantar Fascitis

Here are some of the little changes that plantar fascitis has brought into my life. 1. I now walk like an old, old woman. The short, insecure steps come from a combination of the pain and the fact I have fewer problems with ongoing pain when I am more careful. 2. I can no longer jump out of bed. I have to stop and wiggle my foot for a while first. Taking the time to do so makes a huge […]

Where Does the Time Go?

I’ve been moving rather slow the last few days. In January and February I got all kinds of things done. But April is proving a bit of a bust. Luckily I was so effective earlier that I’m not bogged down with taxes this year. Usually I’d be in desperation mode. Maybe that’s why all I feel like doing now is kicking back?
