Reviews For Moving In
Seriously Reviewed said "You know? Every so often you read a story that starts a little slow on the first few pages and then.....BAM it just explodes! This was one of them for me."
Kaye's Book Review Page
on which she said The book is "short, sweet, light-hearted and just plain fun."
Vince at Philosophy of Romance said "Alice Audrey’s voice is fresh, feisty, full of surprises and always fun. The author also deals with real people having real problems and she does it in a very insightful way."
Nessa at Chrysalis Stage said "If you like sweet, fast-paced romance with a hot hero and all of the misunderstandings that two people can throw at each other, then you will love this story."
Night Owl Reviews didn't have anything nice to say about it. Hey, you can't win them all.
Brenda Talley of Romance Studio said " I recommend this book to anyone. It was a pleasure to read and I shall look for more of her work in the future. "
By Guta Bauer at Murphy's Library did it twice! Once in English and once in Portuguese. I'm assuming they both say, "Life goes on, choices need to be made and we can never let our past deny us of our future. That’s just some of the things we learn from this story. "

Getting cheated feels like
Missing the first step at the top of the stairs
foot hovering over air, heart thumping, pain awaiting.
How bad will the fall be?
What can be salvage?
Then every step to the bottom
is another chance to be hurt.
Clinging to the railing and feeling
Like such a fool. Such an idiot.
And from then on, the whole world is a staircase.

Heather posted her last Art Zoobalie picture recently, and got me to thinking I’d never shared the picture I took. So, here they are.

Sometimes the distance between you and I spans more than the miles of telephone wire, or the pauses between breaths when thinking spins too fast, or the shattering of a sentence placed wrong. Sometimes everything stretches out into meaningless fog and crossing the dark bridge to be where you are seems impossible. I am battered now, and wonder, when I finally return, will you still love me?
Drew and Suzie are characters from my regular Friday serial Suzie’s House. This is a reflection on the part where he has moved to New Mexico for work, leaving her in Wisconsin.

Until a few days ago, the river has been much too high for the time of year. I’ve been expecting it to spill over the banks any minute. Really, we’re so lucky to have such high banks. There’s a bike path running along the river that never gets wet. Then it dawned on me that the reason the land on the other side of the path is so low is because the path sits right on top a levy. Good thing the levy was built so high.

I’ve been working on it (the quilt I’m giving away), honest. I’m far enough along now that I need a bigger space to piece things. Turns out the front porch is just big enough, but has huge gaps between the boards. So, I lay out cardboard and work on that. The first day I did it was a nice, cool morning. Everything was great until the neighbor decided to let the dog out. I was too busy to look up and missed it, but from the argument I overheard a moment later, apparently he wasn’t dress. No offense, but I’d rather see Mr. Al in his skivvies anyway.
Hey, while you’re at it, check out my Welcome page. It’s all new now.

And all the cloud cover makes for some nice sunsets.

I have a bunch more attempts at capturing this rainbow, but I’m holding on to them for later.

I had the hardest time trying to get my camera to do this right. Never did get it.
