Eat Your Heart Out

Kimberly cut another slice from the loaf even though the bread was still too warm, and kind of squished.

“Not more health food!” Matt stomped around in the kitchen behind her. “All you feed me is rocks and twigs! Can’t we have real food once in a while? Why do you feed me this anyway?”

She had planned on slathering on some homemade jam, but seeing the hole in the bread, she changed her mind. She held it up to look at him through the heart shaped hole.

“Oh. Yeah. That’s worth it.” Matt took the slice. He smiled a little as he left the kitchen with it.
