For Moving In

Seriously Reviewed said "You know? Every so often you read a story that starts a little slow on the first few pages and then.....BAM it just explodes! This was one of them for me."

Kaye's Book Review Page
on which she said The book is "short, sweet, light-hearted and just plain fun."

Vince at Philosophy of Romance said "Alice Audrey’s voice is fresh, feisty, full of surprises and always fun. The author also deals with real people having real problems and she does it in a very insightful way."

Nessa at Chrysalis Stage said "If you like sweet, fast-paced romance with a hot hero and all of the misunderstandings that two people can throw at each other, then you will love this story."

Night Owl Reviews didn't have anything nice to say about it. Hey, you can't win them all.

Brenda Talley of Romance Studio said " I recommend this book to anyone. It was a pleasure to read and I shall look for more of her work in the future. "

By Guta Bauer at Murphy's Library did it twice! Once in English and once in Portuguese. I'm assuming they both say, "Life goes on, choices need to be made and we can never let our past deny us of our future. That’s just some of the things we learn from this story. "

Age Freeze

I finished reading Twilight recently. I blame Andi for making me read it in the first place. It got me to thinking. If you were going to get yourself turned into a vampire on purpose and could pick the age you would be, what age would you pick? So of course I asked my family what they would pick.

The Girl Girl was quick to pipe up the the answer I would expect most. She said in her early 20′s, because it was “old enough but not too old.”

That about covers it. You can drive at that age, go to a bar at that age, water ski, just about anything else you might want to do.

But, if I could be perfectly healthy and have the physical edge in all respects, I might go for something closer to 40. At 40, you can pretend to have kids.

What about you? If you were determined to become a vampire, and would be stuck with the same age forever, what age would it be?

  • I agree, 40 would be just about right as long as my “Mr.” wasn’t 17 :)

  • TWM

21 but not for the reasons mentioned, because that was the wage I became TWM. Me, my feet, a good pair of boots and my back pack.

  • Brynna

I’m stuck in my head at 23 probably because that’s when I met my dh. That was a great year for the most part and since I’d be a vampire and couldn’t get sick again–I’d pick 23. :)

  • I would go with something between 34 and 38. Those were really good years.Everything still worked well, no one knew how old i was (not even me) and I knew stuff.

  • “and I knew stuff” is one of the reasons I would want to be older. People don’t take you seriously when you’re in your 20′s. But if I had to be young, I’d want 23, too. It’s when I met Mr. Al.

  • 37 was a very good year for me.

  • ol, I think I”d like to be 35. Still looked good, knew a lot and got mistaken for younger *sigh*

  • Hmmm… it’s too hard to pick. I’d say in my 20′s but then I couldn’t have my dd and dgd. But I’d hate to be in my late 40′s for eternity!

    • Alice

Switching gears a bit here, in Anne Rice’s vampire books, Armand was in his 40′s or 50′s, and did quite well at that age, where as the little girl who was turned goes bonkers after a few measly decades because inside she is no longer a child, but everyone still treats her as though she were.

I wouldn’t mind being in my 30′s, though.

Of course, if I intended to marry Edward, I would want to be 17.
