Congratulations Pam R! You are the winner.

Would you be interested in a copy of Real Vampires Don’t Diet by Gerry Bartlett?
It’s a fun, sexy story about what happens when a Rubenesque vampire lady and a rock star vampire man get cornered by an ugly siren.
If you’re interested, say so in the comments on this post some time between now and Friday. I’ll do a random drawing from those who would like it then announce the winner here on this post and on twitter Saturday. There’s a little domaflachy thingy on the sidebar where you can see my twitter comments without actually jointing twitter. It’s up near the top there.

5. Answer the award’s question by writing the reason why you love blogging.
6. Tag and distribute the award to as many people as you like.
7. Don’t forget to notify the award receivers and put their links in your post.
I’m not sure why I love blogging so much. I started out doing it because people who should know claimed all writers should do it. I, personally, don’t agree. I would have quit in the first month or two, but got addicted instead.
I’m giving this award to:
Happily Retired Gal, and Ancient One who encouraged me when I first started PhotoHunting.
Hootin Annie because she’s a hoot, especially around the holidays.
Emily of Randomability, Mrs. Mecomber, and R.J. Flamingo
Betty of Betty’s Books, just because I think she’s cool. And the same with Kaye at the road goes ever ever on.
Renee, who will always have a special place in my heart.
And Mr. Knowitall, the G man for pulling together one of the sweetest blogging communities out there.

The Walking Man

Rock stars? Right up my alley, huh?
Awesome award, babe. I was wondering last night if there were any currently circulating; I’ve got a bunch to acknowledge.
I figured you had plenty already. I’ve certainly given you a bunch already.
I’ll count you in on the drawing. It isn’t heavy on the rock, but I think you’d get a kick out of it.
Yep, I have MORE than plenty! I’d rather the love be spread around.
If you want me to post about this give at Win a Book, drop me an e-mail (Include the permalink, though). The inbox is scarily empty this week. I’m posting all sorts of odd fun stuff. It’s actually more fun than being an inbox slave!
And thanks for the entry, too. I appreciate it!
Sweet!!! Gotta mention how much I love blogging myself, and I’m sure to tell you that I really appreciate this wonderful, kind gesture Alice! I will put this up on my blog sometime today [or first thing tomorrow] It’s a great way to start the week with such warmth and caring from another blogger. You most certainly made my day!!
Thanks bunches.
why thank you!
I’m glad you started a blog, because your place is a must for a daily stop!
about isolating color in a picture–
I use “picnik” a free (ahem–until you get so hooked you pay for the premium version) anyway, a free photo editing service. I call it photoshop for dummies.
Oh you doll! Congratulations on your award, and I am so honored you saw fit to include me!!! Wow! This was such a pleasant surprise to find on a Monday morning!
Awww! Thanks, Alice! I’ll put it up in my next post and display it proudly in my sidebar.
I wouldn’t mind getting that book, too!
{{Hugs!}}
I’ll count you in, then.
It’s been a while since I’ve carved a jack-o-lantern but used to do it regularly with my students before I retired. It was always great fun to see what each group came up with. Love yours ;–)
Thanks so much for your kindness. It’s a lovely award and I’ve only received a few for my WordPress blog. Like you … at the beginning I was thrilled each time I received an award on my Blogger sites and couldn’t wait to share with others. As time’s gone by (ya know, I’ll be celebrating my 2nd Blogoversary at Small Reflections and Sacred Ruminations in just a few days) I’ve slacked off and have tended to share awards periodically at my Blog Rolls & Bling site rather than following ‘rulez’ … but I’ll add this at HRG as soon as possible … either by amending today’s post there or including it in the next post I create. I’m delighted to know you found my early visits encouraging … it’s wonderful to know I’ve successfully passed along kindnesses shared by others when I entered this virtual world knowing almost nothing about what I was doing. Strange to consider how much we’ve both learned and how I’ve changed as a Blogger over time. Thanks again and have a LOVELY week!
Hugs and blessings,
Alice Audrey….
I don’t know how I can live up to your claims…But Thanks.
I was a lurker for years before I started my own blog.
I’ve always had the reputation for being a smart-ass, big-mouth, Knowitall. And what better forum to express these traits than Blogland?
The Friday 55 thing just sort of fell into my lap, and I can see the day when someone else will be it’s torch bearer. But for now, I really enjoy Fridays! Thanks to the marvelously creative talent of people like you….Thanks again…Galen
Sounds like a book I would like.
