For Moving In

Seriously Reviewed said "You know? Every so often you read a story that starts a little slow on the first few pages and then.....BAM it just explodes! This was one of them for me."

Kaye's Book Review Page
on which she said The book is "short, sweet, light-hearted and just plain fun."

Vince at Philosophy of Romance said "Alice Audrey’s voice is fresh, feisty, full of surprises and always fun. The author also deals with real people having real problems and she does it in a very insightful way."

Nessa at Chrysalis Stage said "If you like sweet, fast-paced romance with a hot hero and all of the misunderstandings that two people can throw at each other, then you will love this story."

Night Owl Reviews didn't have anything nice to say about it. Hey, you can't win them all.

Brenda Talley of Romance Studio said " I recommend this book to anyone. It was a pleasure to read and I shall look for more of her work in the future. "

By Guta Bauer at Murphy's Library did it twice! Once in English and once in Portuguese. I'm assuming they both say, "Life goes on, choices need to be made and we can never let our past deny us of our future. That’s just some of the things we learn from this story. "

Suzie’s House 154: Ben’s Story

Suzie's House

Ben thought about writing about Drew and about Mom and everything, but it wasn’t like that time with Mrs. D and Gene’s dad. Things weren’t so clear to him this time. He wrote a few words, and didn’t much like them, or maybe just didn’t like the way they made him look to himself. Didn’t matter. He ripped out the page in his notebook and threw the words away.

So maybe that wasn’t it. Maybe what he ought to be writing was something completely different.

Then the best ever story came to mind. It was great. Big, epic, all mythological and everything. Some stupid thing about the people he lived with couldn’t compare. So that’s what he wrote;

One day Zeus and Thor got all mad at each other and had a fight. They were throwing lightning bolts and thunder and everything. The madder they got, the harder they fought, the more all electrical they got. Zeus’ hair was standing on end and Thor’s beard stuck straight out. And the more energy they got, the more weird, magical stuff happened.

And that’s when it happened. Thor farted out a universe.

Yep. All in one big burst, there was a planet like Earth and stars and the moon and everything. And then Zeus saw this whole nother universe and he thinks he’s got to do something about it so he reached down off Mount Olympus to get one of those kids of his that his wife was always saying he shouldn’t have and he made him all magical and stuck him in Thor’s universe on the Earth type place and he says “You’re God here. You do anything you want with this place. If you get into trouble, I’ll help but don’t bug me right now because I gotta work.”

And him and Thor went back to fighting. And their fighting gave even more energy to the kid so he could do stuff like make humans for his Earth type planet and dogs and horse and shit. And so, that’s what he did.

And it was cool. He made it so the dogs and horses could talk. He had rivers and oceans that he could make change colors. He had a tottally rad half pipe build out of a tree house in the middle of his rain forest. And everything was great.

Ben sat back and looked at his work. It was great. Best story every. He couldn’t wait to show it to Ms. Audrey. He could already hear all the nice things she would say.
