13 Things I Touched This Week

I’m still moving. I swear it’s a never ending process. It’s brought to light some things we packed away years ago. For instance:

1. A comforter I received as a gift when I was in Jr. High. It was used long and hard and became so badly torn it was no longer possible for me to mend it. I cut off a corner to remember it by and tossed out the rest.

2. My camera. Gotta document all this effort.

3. A curio cabinet. Over and over. This sucker always seems to be in the way.

4. Dishes

5. A piano. I wish I’d stopped to take pictures of moving it, because we must have been quite the spectacle rolling this thing up the sidewalk and stairs into the house.

6. Endless quantities of wire

7. Even more endless quantities of boxes

8. Paint. Yeah, still.

.
.

9. Glue, which I got all over my fingers. It’s ok if I can’t feel anything anymore, right?

10. Mattresses. Oh goody! I forgot we had those. At one point we had five of them stacked one on top of another. It was the princess and the pea. Only, I don’t think it was the pea that kept her awake, it was the way the mattresses jiggle with every motion. Scary. Seriously.

11. Encyclopedia Britannica. Remember those? I mean the hard covers, not the one that comes on a disk.

12. Even more books about people like Boswell and Freud.

13. Mail. Don’t get me started.
