Jack: Darling, what is this you’re watching?
Jill: It’s called Dubstep, I guess.
Jack: Sounds weird.
Jill: Oh, you mean that electronic part? They call that The Drop. It’s all right I guess, but what I like is the way that guy dances.
Jack: (muttering) I could do that if I wanted to.
Jill: Oh really? Prove it.
Jack: All right. Check this out.

Jill: Eeek!
Jack: Oops.

Jill: Was that on purpose?
Jack: Oh, just drop it.

Maybe Jacks should try something a little safer, like a two-step.
Jack needs to learn to dance like a kitty. Then maybe he can start tackling more advanced steps.
Just stay down there Jack…safest place for you.
Ha! Ha!
You have me spewing coffee!
Thanks for dropping by The Saturday PhotoHunt.
I hope to see y’all next Saturday… We may have to hunt for ‘symbolic’!

Poor jack–that’ll teach him to dance on the furniture. *snicker*
I can never ask my older son about dubstep (and he dances a mean shuffle), because he goes into far too much technical detail.
So, I had to show the video to my son – I said is this dubstep and he said, “Not yet…that’s the build, and a generic one at that. Okay, now – right there. Drop is short for bass drop – after the build they add in a bass line.” And then played a few examples of dubstep, to show the wobble sound that’s the hallmark, and also the build and drop they all have. He said the dancing itself is freeze or liquid dancing. And then made me listen to the sort of music you shuffle to, which apparently is faster and doesn’t have a syncopated beat. Ah the joys of living with a musician!
My son is just barely getting into it. This is the video he directed me to so I could see what he was talking about. That’s about as much as I know, but everything you said here makes sense to me.
Tell Jack “planking” might be a safer bet.

He would be good at it, too.
