Reviews For Moving In
Seriously Reviewed said "You know? Every so often you read a story that starts a little slow on the first few pages and then.....BAM it just explodes! This was one of them for me."
Kaye's Book Review Page
on which she said The book is "short, sweet, light-hearted and just plain fun."
Vince at Philosophy of Romance said "Alice Audrey’s voice is fresh, feisty, full of surprises and always fun. The author also deals with real people having real problems and she does it in a very insightful way."
Nessa at Chrysalis Stage said "If you like sweet, fast-paced romance with a hot hero and all of the misunderstandings that two people can throw at each other, then you will love this story."
Night Owl Reviews didn't have anything nice to say about it. Hey, you can't win them all.
Brenda Talley of Romance Studio said " I recommend this book to anyone. It was a pleasure to read and I shall look for more of her work in the future. "
By Guta Bauer at Murphy's Library did it twice! Once in English and once in Portuguese. I'm assuming they both say, "Life goes on, choices need to be made and we can never let our past deny us of our future. That’s just some of the things we learn from this story. "
If you did a review of my book, let me know! I'll be glad to link to you, even if you didn't like the book.

Mannequin by Susan Helene Gottfried p. 3
Lynne thought that each time he breathed in, some of what he was seeing went inside him, too. She didn’t think he kept it all in there; he probably breathed out the stuff he didn’t want. He looked like the sort who was picky.

MizB of Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesday. Grab your current read, open to a random page, share a couple of “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. Go see Should Be Reading for more detail.
I actually read this charming, poignant tale a little while ago, but since Susan is launching her next book – King Travor – tomorrow, I thought it was a good time to go ahead and teaser it.

Thanks for the plug, my friend! It means a lot.
Best of all, Mannequin was my birthday release last year — talk about a gift that has kept on giving… to me AND to my readers. That’s why I decided to release something on my birthday again this year.
What a cool teaser. I like it. Hi Susan
Hi, Shelley!!
Somehow I missed getting Mannequin, probably because my husband and I both started new jobs last April and were pretty heads-down on that. I’ll be sure to get it now!
As an FYI, I’m launching a new serial tomorrow – Points of Departure. It’s actually one of my first novels, edited and updated. A new chapter will post each Wednesday and I’m queued up through the end of September. I hope to have the whole novel in the queue by next week. I’ll be posting each week’s link on your Serialists site.

Yes! *fistpump*
This editor-type is insulted she didn’t her paws on it…Just so I could have a first look, of course!
Posting it was sort of a spur-of-the-moment decision. I’ve been tinkering with it for awhile and decided to just go for it. I’ve been chunking it into segments roughly 1,000 – 1,500 words, so with weekly posts I didn’t feel like I really needed an editor.
I’ve also been doing major edits as I post each chapter. I wrote this novel in 2000, so the technology has changed a lot, which as a direct impact on certain plot points. This was also during my pre-flash days when I was a much wordier writer. That hatchet you’ve been hearing for the last few nights is me, chopping and throwing out massive amounts of unnecessary verbiage.
If I ever decide to put it into Smashwords, CreateSpace or the like, I might then need a fine-tune editor and I’ll let you know.
Okay, I love the cover! That teaser makes it so much more intriguing
