I’ll be around to read your blogs in the next day or so. In a some cases, I’ve already been and read, but found due to problems with blogger’s form set ups and password issues with WordPress.com I was unable to leave comments.
Now that I’m back on my desktop I feel more in control. I can actually get around and do the things I want to do. Yay! So of course the first thing I did on getting home was start running laundry.
I had a great time visiting family but messed up on my chance to see friends. Most of them have scattered around the world, but if I’d gotten my act together faster, I’d have been able to see a best friend, anyway. I’m kicking myself for that one.
Did you get a chance to see friends and family? What are your plans for tonight?

Welcome back, Alice!
I find that I do more reading than commenting while away, too. Smartphone, iPad and flaky internet connections are usually to blame.
Glad you got away, though, even if you didn’t get to see everyone you would’ve liked to!
Yep, yep. flaky internet connections chewed me up.
Thanks. I had a good time.
welcome back
I thought you’re going to be back a bit later. I was quite surprise seeing new post from you when hovering on my rss feed.
Glad to know you met many relatives.
Good luck with your laundry and good to see you back.
…and happy new year
(it’s less than 12 more hours here)
Actually, it turned out to be easier to do posts with flaky internet than to visit other blogs. I had no idea.
Flaky?
welcome back. happy new year. sounds like you had a fun time away…smiles…tonight will be nice and quiet…playing games with my boys…being safe…and probably eating too much…ha…
I did a lot of that when my kids were in grade school. I’d let them stay up til midnight, if they could stay awake that long.
Add me to the reading more than commenting queue…
Welcome back! And yes, I have the same WordPress sign-in problems. I’ve gotten around it by using my secondary e-mail account, but I really wish they’d fix it on the WordPress end.
I’m not alone? I feel better now.
I have Mountain Cedar Fever today.
I’d LOVE to stay right here in bed and sleep after I post this comment, and I can but only for an hour, then will drive the kid to buy a birthday present, then to the party, come home and sleep 2 hours, then probably drive back the 45 minutes to get her, unless Jim is feeling like it after he comes home from his stuff.
Please feel like it, Jim.
xoxoxo
Mountain Cedar Fever?
I hope Jim feels like it, just so you can have a moment of indulgence.
I did it! She got to go to the party. I did pick her up and now here I am home in bed, TG! For the whole night, YAY!!
Yes, Cedar Fever is caused by allergies to Mountain Cedar, lovely little trees that put out their pollen crap from now until about March. It’s a kind of malaise that comes and goes, yuck.
Anyhoo, sleepy time soon for me I guess.
xoxo
Yuck. Will you be suffering all the rest of Winter then?
I hate when I miss a chance to see a good friend. I did my family visit at Thanksgiving, and spent this holiday with my kids. But have several things lined up with friends in the New Year.
I’m looking forward to glimpses of your outings with your friends.
Welcome back! Glad you got to spend some time visiting family. I spent five days over Christmas across the border with my sister (yeah, Rockford, Ill…so exotic, LOL). Loved baking cookies and playing games with my niece, but am glad I was able to get online for an hour or so every night so I could keep up a bit.
New Year’s Eve and Day was spent with friends. The day started out in kitty crisis mode as our host had to pay a visit to the emergency vet, but thankfully the night ended on a high note (and yes, kitty is doing okay). We were up until 4am, and a couple of us were then up in time to watch the Rose Parade at 10am. Should have tried to take a nap in between that and the pitiful excuse of a football game, but toughed it out and — though I enjoyed those hours spent with friends — ended up with a sore neck and killer headache Tuesday night.
The year can only get better…right?
