Vince at Philosophy of Romance said "Alice Audrey’s voice is fresh, feisty, full of surprises and always fun. The author also deals with real people having real problems and she does it in a very insightful way."
Nessa at Chrysalis Stage said "If you like sweet, fast-paced romance with a hot hero and all of the misunderstandings that two people can throw at each other, then you will love this story."

By Guta Bauer at Murphy's Library did it twice! Once in English and once in Portuguese. I'm assuming they both say, "Life goes on, choices need to be made and we can never let our past deny us of our future. That’s just some of the things we learn from this story. "

Growing Up in Pictures
He opened the envelope carefully, hopefully. A small pile of photos slid out – the kids on a slide, eating ice cream, laughing. They looked good. A little bigger, maybe, than last month when their mother sent the thank you note for the child support check. He pinned them to the wall – a growing collection of time passing.

The challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to write a story in exactly 55 words. Flash Fiction 55 is hosted by the G-man, a host with the most.

This is so sad. I just tucked my youngest in bed. He has been sick and last night he slept upright in his dad’s arms. The image warmed my heart. Children so want both parents.
Hey. Did I beat Gman again?
It sounds like the separation was at least somewhat amicable. It’s hard on a kid, though, to grow up with a “ghost” or fantasy parent.
It happens to so many families. Very sad.
nice….wonder if the weight of that wall ever feels crushing to him….a sad bit of reality you know….
I know a few A-Holes that this really applies to.
Very cool post Alice Audrey.
From the pic to the text!
I loved your all too real 55
Thank you for the thought and care that went into this little Gem. Have a Kick Ass Week-End
Awww! This broke my heart. Not only for him (for who knows if he deserves it or not), but for the entire family. Awesome 55, Alice.
Mine will be 23 in May.
He is the only reason I am still alive. Quite literally.
With the perfect title, like that, it’s amazing what you packed in. A whole life.
And it does pass too quickly.
What an extremely poignant 55. Words and art are altogether touching!
At least she cared enough to send the pictures.
I found this rather sad. Poor grandpa only sees the pictures not the real kid
