A Beach on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula

We hit the beach. In our winter coats. There was supposed to be some wildlife – seals and birds. So I searched for them.

Lots of grass and some birds in the air between the water and the parking area.

Cable wheel for mooring boats

See the dot just right and low from the center? Little dot. Tiny.

Eider ducks

Snail

Duck

In deetail

More shipping relics

As we left, the field we drove past sent up a bunch of arctic turns, which were in mating season. They go 25 thousand miles for this privilege. Live about 30 years.
