Ostrich family. Males always dark, females brown because mother sits on the eggs in the daylight and male sits on them at night.

Aw, they’ve got chicks as well.
Cool.
Thursday Thirteen – My Drive to Work
I wasn’t aware of this. Stopping by way of Dr John, he has made you his featured Blog of the Week.
I’ve never seen chicks–how neat!
LOL! Dr. John sent me over and I’ve already learned something from the very first post! I never KNEW that! I have had my car chased down by a hungry ostrich before though!
I didn’t know that was the reason for the difference in color! My daughter will get a kick out of that.
AWESOME! How nature (Goodness, Love, God, Goddess, Creator, Buddha–whatever one wishes to call that Power Greater than me) takes care of things. Who would have thought?
Now, nature, where are you? I need help! –grin!
Sorry I have not been around to your place for a few days. Just always seem to be behind here…I’m sure that nobody else has that problem –another grin!)
Love and Peace, AA (Good initials, Alice! Although you’re probably not an Alkie!)
Visiting via Dr. John’s blog. He always selects wonderful sites for us to visit. Love your blog.
Squee!!! Little baby ostriches!!!
What interesting trivia! I had no idea about male and female ostriches. I also really like the photo of the family all together. I didn’t know that they stayed together as a family unit. Very neat.
Thanks so much for being such a great friend for my mom (Kaye) To answer your question, Bell’s Palsy is actually the same virus strain as the chicken pox. It really doesn’t happen that often or in that many people. It’s a little like shingles in who it hits. It can last anywhere from a few weeks to years, and sometimes it can be permanant if you don’t rest and take it easy while you have it.
So I am hoping that she lays off the blogging for a few weeks. If she doesn’t would you mind tattling on her?
Thanks again!
Hi, Visiting via Dr. John’s blog. Interesting fact about the ostriches. This country crone didn’t know that, learn something new all the time. Thanks
Very cool photo, and I learned something. Hopefully it will be a trivia question on some game I play some day!
too cool! great pic as well!
