Cold

I suppose it’s to be expected that I should come down with a cold after a week like last. It’s been going around. Mr. Al went down for the count for three days and the school’s auto-post emails talk about numbers of whooping cough to show up. Yet still, I was unprepared.

I’ve certainly had a runny nose often enough, and a cough as well, but half the time I couldn’t tell it from my normal allergies. This time there’s no question. Achiness, fatigue, sore throat… I’ve got it all.

it occurs to me that it has been a number of years since I felt this bad. The flu shot has helped. Better hygiene in my kids has made a world of difference. I’ve been downright spoiled.

Oh well. I’m sure it’ll be over soon enough. Now pardon me while I crawl back into bed.
