Ginger Crinkles

The cookies on the right were rolled in sugar while dry. On the left they were dipped in cold water before rolling in sugar.

This one was easily enough that I had my son make it.

2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cloves
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c cooking oil
1/4 c molasses
1 egg

Combine dry ingredients. Mix remaining ingredients. Beat well. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture. Form 1 inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar, if desired. Space about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 F for about 10 min. Makes 48.
