Quick Apple Cobbler

This one is a handy way of using up apple sauce when I have too much left over from something else. It’s a very forgiving recipe.

4 Tbs. butter
2/3 c  brown sugar

1 c  apple sauce
1 Tbs cinnamon sugar

2 1/2 c   Quick Mix
1 c  milk

Cut the butter into the brown sugar until evenly combined. Set aside. Mix the cinnamon sugar into the apple sauce. I generally make my cinnamon sugar with a tablespoon to each cup of sugar, but I’ve been told I’m a little heavy handed with the cinnamon, so I’m going to leave the proportions to you. Shoot for about what you’d use on cinnamon toast. Coat the bottom of a medium size pan with the apple sauce. Mix the Quick Mix and the milk. Scoop up chunks of the Quick Mix mix and scatter on top of the apple sauce. Alternate with brown sugar until all is used.

Bake in a 375 F oven for half an hour, or until toothpick comes out clean.
