13 Views of a Storm

About this time a week ago I was ready to head home from Christmas when a storm hit. Being an intrepid soul, I didn’t expect it to actually affect my travel plans, but I hadn’t counted on this one. Just to be on the safe side, we haunted the web site for the Montana Department of Transportation to check for road conditions. I love this web site. It kept us from getting caught on a road that was closed due to inclement weather.

What impresses me is the shear size of this sucker. I’m used to storms that run North and South for a couple of states, and this one did cover from Canada down to some place in Utah, but it was wide too. Montana is over 500 miles from stem to stern. This covered every inch. Just check out what was on MDoT’s cameras at the time:
